ELIGIBILITY FOR
ADMISSION
-
A citizen of India who
has passed B.A./B.Sc. degree examination of Bangalore University or any
University in India or abroad recognised as equivalent through 10+2+3
pattern of education obtaining 50% of marks in aggregate of all the
subjects he/she has studied for 3 years is eligible for admission to B.
Ed. Course provided:
a) He/5.he has studied
at least any ONE of the following languages:
(i) Kannada (ii)
English (iii) Hindi (iv) Urdu (v) Marathi (vi) Sanskrit
b) Any TWO of the
following Electives:
(i) History (ii)
Political Science (iii) Sociology (iv) Geography (v)
Economics (vi) Philosophy (vii) Psychology (viii) Physics
(ix) Chemistry (x) Botany (xi) Zoology (xii) Geology (xiii) Mathematics
(xiv) English (xv) Kannada (xvi) Hindi (xvii) Urdu (xviii) Marathi
(xix) Sanskrit (xx) Micro Biology (xxi) Biotechnology (xxii) Computer Science (xxiii) Electronics (xxiv) Statistics
Minimum marks for the
purpose of eligibility in the case of SC/ST, Category-l and Physically
Handicapped students shall be 45% in the aggregate of 3 years of their
degree course.
ALLOCATION OF SEATS
-
College shall admit all
the candidates allotted by the Government of Karnataka through Common
Entrance Test (CET) or any appropriate agency recognised by the
Government of Karnataka.

For filling the other seats the respective colleges shall select the
candidates following eligibility criteria as envisaged in Regulations 1
and 2 under Eligibility for Admission. -
The college should get the selected candidates, both under Government
quota and Management quota, within the last
date fixed for admission. -
The total intake of all B.E. Colleges shall be 100 and /or as fixed by
government of Karnataka from time to time. -
The total number of students in each college shall be so distributed so as
to ensure that a minimum of 5 students in. each except the subjects like
Sanskrit, Geography, English, Urdu, Hindi. -
The students' ratio in Science and Arts disciplines shall be generally 50: 50. If sufficient
number of
candidates are not available in Science discipline such of seats shall be
adjusted from Arts discipline in the ratio of 25:75 and ice-a-versa.
