Examination / Evaluation

The scheme of examination for the B.Ed course will consist of Internal Assessment and External Assessment. Every subject under Paper 1 to Paper VII will have both forms of examination. The total marks allotted for all subjects put together in Internal Assessment is 160 and for External Assessment is 540. In addition to this, Group Teaching is also examined with a marks of 200 in Internal Assessment and 100 in External Assessment.

Evaluation of the performance of the student is based both on Internal Assessment (10 marks) and External Assessment (90 marks). The result of the B.Ed. examination of a candidate opting content paper shall not be announced unless the candidate passes the examination in a content paper.

The marks obtained by the candidate here will not be counted for deciding aggregate or total marks nor will they be used for declaring class.

For purpose of declaring class of the passed candidates, the following rating is adopted.

First Class: Those who secure 60% and above marks in the aggregate of Group A and Group B put together.

Second Class: Those who secure 50% and above but less than 60% as per above.

Pass Class: Those who secure less than 50% as above.
