Jayaraman to start a college of education exclusively dedicated to train teachers of superior quality and integrity. Founded in 1980, MVJ College of Education is affiliated to the Bangalore University and is recognized by the Government of Karnataka and N.C.T.E. Features Location MVJ College of Education is located at Marathahalli about 15 kms. from Bangalore. The place is well connected with transport network. Courses Offered B.Ed degree and the duration is one academic year. Out of this, six weeks will be for practical training. Eligibility Any candidate who has passed B.A or B.Sc. degree from any recognised University with 10+2+3 pattern obtaining 50% marks in aggregate in all subjects including languages (45% in case of SC/ST candidates) Extra Curricular Activities Excursions of educational importance will be conducted and citizenship training camps to train the students in the art of community living and to develop moral, social and cultural values. The college encourages and conducts activities like sports, games, debate competitions, essay writing, inter school quiz competition etc. In the recent past, our students and faculties have also participated in various curricular and non-curricular competitions and have bagged prizes in the following events. Outstation students Outstation students are provided with proper guidance and counselling in order to make them feel at home. The Management also takes care of their stay in the college. |
