CHEMICAL ENGINEERING
HOD - DR. Y. JAGANNADHA RAO Prof. Y.Jagannadha Rao holds B.Tech Degree from Andhra University and Ph.D from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He has over 33 years of teaching and research experience. Before joining here, he worked at Indian Institute of Science as Senior Research Assistant; Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai as Lecturer, Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur and R.V College of Engineering, Bangalore as Professor and Head of Chemical Engineering. He is having nearly 26 years of administrative experience. He was responsible to start ISTE Chapters at both S.I.T and R.V College. He was also responsible to start research centers at those places. He has guided 5 candidates for Ph.D., above 25 students for PG projects and above 100 projects at UG level and he is at present guiding 4 candidates for their Ph.D.
He is a member of several
professional bodies. He has published several technical papers in both
national and international journals. He represented many universities in
various capacities as member, chairman of both BOS and BOE. At present he
is the chairman of BOS in Chemical Engineering, polymer science and
technology, cement and ceramic technology of VTU Belgaum. He served as a
LIC member for VTU, Karnataka University and Bangalore University. He
conducted many seminars and workshops. He went to USA as Fulbright fellow.
He is listed in Marquis Whos Who in Science and Engineering 2003-04, 7th
edition. He is a referee to some of the National and International
Journals.
