TRAINING THE FUTURE
LEADERS- A NEW PERSPECTIVE
Pedagogy: - MVJ believes
that the training of management education should primarily be a blend of
theory as well as hands-on-exposure. In line with this, the methods
adopted to impart training consist of the following.
-
Lecture sessions are
used to introduce concepts, techniques and issues that are usually
delivered through interactions, discussions, questions and comments
from participants. The concerned faculty, in each subject also
provides individual guidance, after the class.
-
Case studies: - in
order to develop critical and analytical skills among students,
selected case studies of international standards are used for
discussions on real business situations. Participants are highly
motivated to participated actively.
-
Presentation/Discussions/Seminars:
- small work groups study the assigned subjects and make presentations
before the entire class. This exercise helps the participants in
experiencing the challenges associated with group responsibilities,
collective decision making and communication.
-
Situational
role-playing: - In order to fully experience the dynamics of practical
management situations, the faculties motivates participants in
role-plays to assume diverse management roles and the same has to be
enacted.
-
Guest lectures: -
Eminent personalities from the industries are invited to exchange
their experiences with the participants. Detailed discussions on the
issues of crucial importance in the field of Business, personality
development and career development etc., are conducted. These guest
lectures would provide a holistic understanding of the present conduct
and performance of the markets.
-
Management Games &
Quizzes: - participants in management games & quizzes encourage
them to sharpen their objectivity, memory, and creativity decision
making skills.
-
Industrial Visits: - In
the end of the first year, after equipping with the theoretical
concepts, industrial visits to the candidates will be arranged.
Industries of different nature are selected for visit purpose. This
would enable the candidates to gain acquaintances with different
aspects of the industry.
-
Audiovisual
presentations: - Video presentation on management related topics and
the discussion thereafter is another effective method of teaching
adopted by our institution.
-
