This course is well designed to provide advanced knowledge in the field of Computer Science and Engineering. The core subjects and electives put together, prepare students for careers in the industry as well as academic research in the field of ICT (Information and Communication Technology).

Spread over four Semesters, the course focuses on core subjects needed for preparing a good background in Computer Science and Engineering, particularly for students coming from other streams. Electives are well chosen to address the latest technologies needed in industry. The syllabus of the M. Tech (CSE) degree program has a good mix of courses in Computer Architectures, Software Technologies, Networking and Communication Technologies, Security Related Issues, Distributed Computing, Mobile Computing, Embedded Systems, etc. Seminars and Dissertation will be part of the curriculum and students will be evaluated on these as well as the examinations conducted at the end of each Semester.

The industrial training and projects in the industry are also part of the curriculum and provide good exposure to students.

The two-year Post Graduate Program in Computer Science & Engineering is approved by AICTE and the Govt., of Karnataka and is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University.
