LIBRARY

 

The Engineering  College Library  has collection of  Books,  Journals, CDs  and Project Reports. It has  a book  bank  for  SC/ST students.  It  has one  main  Library  and one branch  Library  to  provide quick access to students and staff. The main library has two sections : Reference & Issue.

 

The   Reference   section  has  complete  open   access  and  is  open from 8.30am to 8.00pm. It also  has a Photocopier  installed  to enable  students to make copies. The  Issue  section has closed access and  is  open  from  8.30  to  4.00  pm. The  Library  reading space can accommodate nearly 150  students. Separate reading  space  is  available for staff and students.

The  Library  activities are  undergoing  computerization. The  Database is ready. Computerised catalogues are available for use. The library  has procured 11 PCs of P-III, 64MB RAM, 20GB HDD and printer. The PCs are connected  in LAN and connected  to a UPS. The  plan  for  library  automation  is to ultimately   setup  a  Digital  Library,  which  provides  online  access  to Books,  Journals and  Engineering Databases.
