Civil - HOD - Dr. V. Ramarajan Dr. V. Ramarajan holds a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore for his thesis on 'Scale Effects in a Mixed Flow Pump'. Dr. V. Ramarajan did his M.E. in Hydraulics and Fluid Machines from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Dr. V. Ramarajan has rich experience in the fields of academics, research, industrial research and development activities. In his nearly over 30 years of experience, he has held academic positions in reputed institutions as well as research, technical and managerial positions in many corporate houses. In additions to his various academic postings, Dr. V. Ramarajan has served in the following positions: Senior Engineer, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd., Corporate Research & Development Unit, Hyderabad; Deputy Director, Fluid Research Institute, Palghat. Dr. Ramarajan has worked in the Hydrodynamics division of Deft Hydraulics Laboratory, Netherlands. He has also worked in the Flow Measurement and Turbomachinery Division of National Engineering Laboratory, UK. These assignments were under the UNDP/UNIDO Fellowship. Dr. Ramarajan has presented research papers on various subjects at many national level seminars and conferences. Some of his papers include: Emerging Trends in Pump Testing Methods - Flow Measurement, A Research Paper on the Calibration of A Flow Nozzle, Performance Prediction of Industrial Pumps from Mode Tests etc. Dr. Ramarajan Joined MVJCE in 1991 as Professor and Head of the Department, Civil Engineering. He has been the Principal of the College since June 2000. |
