Admission to the First Year Course is open to:

students who have passed:

The two-years Pre University examination conducted by the Karnataka State Pre-University Board
or
Plus-two CBSE with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as optional subjects and English as a subject of study or any other examination recognised by the University as equivalent thereto and with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate of the three optional subjects in the second year qualifying examination or at the public examination held at the end of the 12th year.

B.Sc graduates who have secured a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Physics, Mathematics and Electronics or Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science.

Holders of Diploma, in an appropriate Branch of Engineering, granted by the Board of Technical Examination in Karnataka or equivalent with not less than 50% marks in the final examination (10% less marks i.e., 40% marks for SC/ST and other category students)
